Your Movie Crew, whether your your dad, mom, kids, the friends you've to come to know in a new city, they're all part of what makes up our definition of a movie crew. Reimagining family time when the movie begins and the lights go down, this time around I'm inspired to do so through the lens of A Voice to Reckon With.
Redefine the night, the crew you're hanging with and a couple of visionaries, Emerald Fennell and Shaka King, that will likely be giving you more and more exciting, unique and riveting nights to come. Become your crew's curator of what the experience looks like, looking forward to that which is in front of us.

Snow falling in some spots of the country and the mainstream releases are few and far between right now - fingers crossed for some theater, event venue help and new releases later this year. Until then, our next night up goes back to when Guy Ritchie and Madonna were a thing and we couldn't understand Bradd Pitt. We also loop back around to Split. Take the kids or crew who hasn't yet experienced either out on a movie voyage to 2000 and 2019 this weekend.
A usual January warrants a night of motivating movies, but this week needs a whole new level of pushed across the finish line energy. What is a movie that motivates? Uplifiting, persistent and often a snapshot of truth from someone's life is how I look for some get your ass off the couch vibes. For instance, a throwaway seen for many in Forgetting Sarah Marshall is my exact reason for giving Movies That Motivate a look in the new year. Jason Segel has blown it - or so it seems - and hit the proverbial bottom. There is little else to do but to get up again, even if self-induced, start the treadmill and get to writing and finish the romantic, Dracula-themed rock opera he has always wanted. In doing so, he is now manifesting his own destiny and it ultimately leads to reconciliation with Mila Kunis. Now, just because you or I run on a treadmill and creat a rock does not mean that Mila Kunis walks into our lives, but you get the point. The feeling of the third act kicking after all the punches, kicks to the gut, the lost love, pain and failures, those are the movies to wrap yourself in on a cold January day.
