Sometimes getting what you want is what you need. Too much of a good thing is not a good thing too. Hobbs & Shaw fits right in the middle of a comfort food and too much of that dish we go to. There's something to be said about the chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, however, that ultimately becomes the downfall of the movie as there is little new added in the relationship between Johnson and Statham. All that being said, the collective we probably don't want out of this ride. What we get is top-notch, over-the-top action, a nice turn from Idris Elba and a satisfying ending rolled into the Hobbs family reunion (here's hoping there is morr exploration of the Hob s family makeup).

In the end, the movie does its job and gives us what we want. Here is hoping that on the next ride there is less bickering and more exploration. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know, but one can hope for the next ride.
