Family night can sometimes be mashed up with a Recycle Bin night and that isn't always a good thing. However, with Dora and The Lost City of Gold the recycling bin never looked so good. Yep. You heard us right, Dora has made her way into a witty, energetic reboot, adaptation, hybrid vehicle????? We aren't really sure what to classify it as but know it's good.

Dora becomes what we would hope the live-action rebootd become: fresh, not too serious and understand that they're in a world we are familiar with. Fun performances are plentiful from the cast but Isabella Moner carried the movie with the weight of a larger than life animated character in Dora as the mark to meet - and does she ever.

The box office totals might say vamanos in the other direction (yeah, had to work it in) but trust us on this one and have one last fun in the . . . dark this summer
