What collaborations could set the box-office on fire, create new IP or Franchises and be the stars of the 20s? Hang out with us as we go to the whiteboard and brainstorm what could be throughout 2022 with something of a fantasy draft for collaborations we’d like to see soon.

Jordan Peele Movie + Tom Holland
Hollywood needs a definitive star for the younger generation to latch onto and go on a ride with them where each movie becomes an event. Judging by the crowds I saw President’s Day Weekend, Tom Holland is very much that person teens are going to see whether Spider-Man or not. Now, the out of the park element would be to take the Director where each movie with their name on it is an event, Jordan Peele, and combine an original concept from him starring Tom Holland. Univers(al) let’s make this happen, please.

Jim Carrey + Ryan Reynolds
Seeing Jim Carrey back in the biggest goofball role as Dr. Robotnik has been one of the great pleasures from movies over the past couple of years. Living through the 90s, the elastic man, catch phrases and sheer lunacy felt like home and now another generation gets to feel the same as Sonic 2 comes out in April. As we scan the landscape for potential dream collaborations and matchups, Ryan Reynolds and Jim Carrey together as maybe a father-son duo on the road would get my money in a minute. Both wisecracking actors together could bring together a jolt of comedy that big movies could use and also create that ever elusive franchise creation all the studios look for in 2022.
